I’ve always dreamed of living in a super organized space, with reduced amounts of clutter, and actually knowing where everything is in my home instead of going crazy and turning the house upside down and inside out daily to find one thing. As a blogger and influencer, I’m constantly getting packages with amazing products in them to test and try for all of you but with that comes a lot of stuff. I’ve been blogging for almost 5 years so you can imagine just how much I’ve collected over the years.
Right before I found out I had to move out of my old loft about four months ago, I was feeling so overwhelmed all of the time by my space, it was cluttered, messy, disorganized, and I felt like I was turning into a hoarder.
My dining room table became a storage unit and I was basically living in a hot mess! Can anyone else relate?!
I also was living in a space that was a complete hodgepodge of furniture that was from college, hand me downs from my parents, craigslist, and Ikea. Nothing matched, nothing gave me inspiration, and I just finally couldn’t take it anymore!
That’s when I found Dany from Spatial Soulutions, who literally came in and saved my life, and improved it one thousand percent. I’m so freaking excited to introduce you babes today to Dany, you are going to be just as obsessed as I am with her by the end of this series! She helped me not only declutter and prepare for my move into my new apartment but then she came in and took my hodgepodge design and helped me invest in myself through my space!
Working with Dany has taught me so much about what I think I need and what I can actually live without.
As someone who works from home and uses my space to work in, shoot in, and has a creative job, it’s so imperative that my space reflects my personality and is a sacred space to not only come home to but to constantly be inspired by.

As I said above, I started working with Dany about 4 months ago. She came over for a consultation at my old loft and I was looking for her help in eliminating items out of my life before my move so I wasn’t wasting time bringing things I didn’t want with me into my new space. We focused mostly on my bathroom and kitchen during this phase. It was just so helpful having someone who wasn’t attached to any of my things help me question each item to figure out is it really necessary in my life. Did the items align with my current lifestyle and did they even go with my current aesthetic, etc. Dany and I spent about 8 hours going through my bathroom and kitchen and it helped me so much when I prepared myself to move about a month later.
Once I was in my new apartment, I had Dany come in to check out the new space and then she helped me start organizing my kitchen and we placed the biggest order ever from the Container Store to help organize my very deep pantry as well as a few other areas of my kitchen and bathroom.
Dany and I worked room by room, area by area, to make sure each space made sense and was grouped according to how I use things. There were two very long 8+ hour days and a few half days, a lot of Container Store hauls, and tons of texts, online orders, and lots of work but now my apartment is an organized dream come true.
There are still a few areas I’m going to be working on, like the art! I had the hardest time ever picking artwork for my place! I don’t know why it’s so hard to commit to artwork for me but apparently, I have commitment issues over large pieces of artwork, who knew?! Dany was SO patient with me and helped provide me with a ton of options and ideas until I finally picked something I liked. The artwork by far was the biggest hurdle for me, but now I’m so excited to have pieces that I really love and will be able to use for years to come!
Now I wanted to highlight a few areas in each space that we really worked on and I’ve been loving so far! I’ll be doing detailed blog posts for each room in my apartment that will be coming out soon but for now here is a taste!
The kitchen was the first room we tackled and the pantry was the space that I definitely needed to make the most out of and it was basically just two big deep cabinets. Thankfully, Dany knew exactly how to make them useful with a few bins from the container store. We organized items like baking, breakfast, rice/pasta, condiments, and of course my One Brands Bars, and found containers to fit the depth and they make this blank slate pantry much more useful!
We moved to the bathroom next, which is honestly one of my favorite space now, it came together perfectly in my mind. The biggest issue in the bathroom was the number of products I have and am constantly getting. So making sure we had an area of my favorite everyday products (we used the medicine cabinet to house those), an area for my secondary products (the drawers), and of course an area for overflow and extras (the side cabinet by the shower). And I wanted to make sure my under the sink was also organized because that is an area that can quickly become a disaster! The best part of working with Dany is that she knows the best solutions almost immediately upon seeing the space so it takes a lot of the trial and error out of organizing a space by yourself!
The living room was mostly all about the decor! I made use of my media cabinet for storage and we used a few bins underneath it to keep a few other items that didn’t belong in my bedroom, like my electronics and giveaway items for you all! I wanted to keep my bike inside my place so Dany creatively made it work in the space and it’s honestly one of my favorite corners! And of course, my plants are living their best lives in this corner as well.
Dany helped me pick out the pillows, blanket, and helped me figure out the artwork and arranged all the little knickknacks around as well! I love how the living room came out and it’s a perfect space for me to not only watch TV but hang out with friends and even work from.
In the bedroom, we focused on the under bed storage, the dressers, and we added a few helpful items to my closet. Dany helped me pick out the dressers and yes I needed 3! Thankfully there was enough space in my room for all 3 because they are so helpful and she introduced me to dream drawer organizers, which helped so much to keep things upright in my drawers. She taught me all about folding my items into thirds, and everything is folded and color coordinated, which is a dream come true! Dany also helped me go through a lot of my clothing items (like my bathing suits, PJS, and workout clothes) we really refined each area and made sure to only keep things that I loved.
In my closet, we added a few bins to keep my purses, extra linens, memorabilia, etc and we added shoe organization which has made getting dressed so much easier since I can see all of my options without digging for something.
I’m just so thrilled with how everything turned out and I’ve never enjoyed living in a space more. I take time each evening to clean up and put things back into their proper places in hopes of never letting it get out of control again! Being organized and having my space elevated in this way has been so beneficial in so many ways, I feel less anxious in my space, I know where things are, I feel put together and ready to have people come over whenever, and I’m just excited to be home and in my space! There is no better feeling! If you’re looking to improve your space in all ways, you should definitely reach out to Dany. She is available to take in-person clients locally in the Los Angeles area and she even takes on clients virtually!
