Hey girl! Today I have another fun style tip blog post for you! I have always loved fashion and have always considered myself to be pretty well versed in dressing for my body type! I have always had a knack for finding figure-flattering pieces so I feel my most confident in my clothes. Today I’m so excited to share this summer look in partnership with Walmart and to have a little chat about why you should make the switch to wearing vertical stripes!
As a curvy gal, I grew up hearing that I needed to avoid wearing stripes at all costs! I was told by so many people while shopping that stripes aren’t flattering and they will make me look wider. These things may or may not be true and if you love wearing stripes you should wear them no matter what anyone says! You gals know I believe that everyone should wear what makes them feel the most confident and beautiful but I have to say that if you are going to wear stripes as a curvy gal, vertical stripes are the way to go!
Vertical stripes are so good on curvy body types and they even help lengthen your figure helping you to appear taller too! Added bonus! So if you’ve avoided stripes your entire life as a curvy woman, I can’t suggest trying vertical stripes enough! When I saw this dress on Walmart.com I knew I had to have it. Not only is it super comfortable but I love the off the shoulder details and that the vertical stripes really flatter my curves. It’s all about learning to work with your body and not against it when it comes to dressing for your body type!
I love this outfit and have been living in it this summer! It’s not only cute, chic, and flattering but the quality is amazing for the price! I also picked up these super comfortable wedge sandals and this fun macrame tote bag to complete my look! Walmart has so many amazing pieces for summer, like dresses, swimsuits, shorts, and tons of cute options for your loungewear or cozy at home needs too!
I hope you try making the switch to wearing vertical stripes and definitely check out all the cute summer options available at Walmart!
