Two weeks ago I escaped to Hawaii (for the second time this year) with my girls, Laura, Lindsey, and Amie. This time I adventured to a new to me island, Kona or the Big Island, and finally got to stay at a property I’ve been eyeing for a long time. The Four Season Hualalai. From the moment we landed, I was in absolute heaven. How can you not be when you have someone collect your luggage for you and load it into a big black SUV and are swept away to heaven on earth?! We checked in and had a tour of the huge and beautifully landscaped property and then checked into our rooms. They had a stunning fruit bowl waiting for us and champagne and the view from the room was so picture-perfect (see photo above!). We unpacked and immediately made our way to the pool to officially kick off our trip and to find the famous fish tacos that everyone raves about for lunch!
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai has 3 main pools and several areas to go for a swim in the ocean. The property is also divided into crescents and each crescent has a pool and an area to access the beach as well. The gym and spa are away from the water and further back on the property as well as the main lobby and the shops. Basically you’re in heaven no matter where you are on the property. And to top it off the staff at The Four Seasons Hualalai go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed our time by the pool and our fish tacos so much and while we were relaxing by the pool they would bring around fun little snacks, like smoothies, frozen grapes, and ice pops!
After relaxing by the pool we went to shower and get ready so we could catch the sunset! The sunsets and sunrises in Hawaii are not to be missed. It’s one of my absolute favorite parts of visiting any island of Hawaii. After we enjoyed the sunset we made our way to one of the many beachside restaurants on the property and had dinner together. The food at The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is pretty outstanding. We had fresh fish, beautiful salads, and the most amazing desserts during our stay. Everything is so fresh and so flavorful, you really can’t go wrong with any of the food, I promise.
After dinner, we made our way back to our rooms for an early night so we could make sure to be up and ready for sunrise the following morning! The sunrises are truly breathtaking! After, enjoying the sunrise with coffee in hand, we made our way to the lawn for a sunrise yoga class. It was the perfect and most serene way to begin our day. The teacher had a beautiful, peaceful, calming voice, and led us through a private session. One of the coolest things that the Four Seasons Hualalai offers are all the wellness and fitness offerings. They have classes like yoga, dance, and spin daily and you can always book a private yoga or pilates class too as we did. It’s so nice to be able to escape to paradise but still maintain your healthy habits!
After our yoga session, we made our way to the insane gym on the property to finish up our morning sweat sesh. The gym at the Four Seasons Hualalai is a gym lovers’ dream. It has absolutely everything you could want and more. It’s a great indoor/outdoor space with cardio, a full weight lifting area, TRX, a dance/spin room, outdoor cardio, a pilates room, a yoga room, and a pool! They also have personal trainers available and if you’re more of a workout yourself type person they have amazing fitness workout videos you can follow along with too! Laura and I did a great full body blast workout at the outside gym area that you can do too.
After our sweat sesh, we went to breakfast. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and so was the fresh-pressed coffee! But the view at breakfast will absolutely take your breath away. After breakfast, we changed and then it was off to another day of pool hopping and occasional dips in the ocean. We ended our second day at the swim-up bar and enjoyed some drinks while floating away and enjoying the view.
On our last full day at the resort, we jumped on a golf cart to make our way to go stand up paddleboarding. It was truly one of the best parts of our stay! It was so much and the water was absolutely perfect. They set us up with boards and taught us how to paddle and set us off into the open ocean. It was such a fun day and a great workout as well. My arms were definitely sore the next day. haha After I took the picture below on the left, I stood up and started paddling away feeling pretty balanced and then two seconds later I was in the water! It was a refreshing dip though!
My stay at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai was truly an incredible 5-star experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a wellness destination that has it all! I did not want to leave! Make sure to visit their website to learn more and to book your stay!
