I don’t know about you but carving out time for self-care is honestly the only way I’m getting through each and every day these days. Making a conscious effort to make time to take care of yourself so you can take care of everything else that you have happening in your life is the key to finding a healthy balance and overall happiness. We can’t pour from an empty cup as they say.
Earlier this year, as I was thinking about all the things I’d like to accomplish and habits I’d like to build to continue on my wellness and health journey, I knew placing importance on self-care habits was going to play a major role in my year. So I wrote out a few self-care habits that I’ll be working on incorporating into my routine this year and am so excited to share them with you below to help inspire you to do the same. These four are just my personal ideas but the options are truly endless!

4 Self Care Wellness Habits
I’ve had a tub for years but hardly ever use it but this year I’m making more time for bubble baths and I’m making them a full-on VIBE! Candles, bubble bath, and my favorite recovery trick, Epsom salt! I picked up the most amazing smelling candle and bath and shower gel from Walmart from the brand Find Your Happy Place and it smells like a tropical vacation!
Get creative in the kitchen
Yes, cooking and baking are 100% self-care to me! Fueling my body so I feel my best makes me so happy! Try a new healthy recipe, a new to you ingredient, or make your old favorite recipe to shake up your kitchen routine and get creative!
Take sleep seriously
Yup, I’m telling you it’s OK to get more sleep, in fact, YOU SHOULD! Make your bed as comfy as possible (I love my linen sheet!) and use a sleep pillow spray to help you drift off to dreamland!
