When Athleta came to me earlier this month and challenged me to be a part of their #UpForAnything campaign I was so excited to be pushed out of my comfort zone in the new year! Athleta’s goal with the #UpForAnything challenge was to get women outside their comfort zones and empower women with their #UpForAnything gear to realize the best project you’ll ever work on is you! When I heard about this challenge I knew I was in immediately! I loved being pushed out of my comfort zone and trying new workouts and to top it off I got to include one of my workout buddies, Laura @misslauravarney, in this journey with me. What’s more fun than grabbing your matching Athleta outfits and sporting the best boxing gloves, whilst getting a great sweat with your best friend?! Nothing!

I love the idea of this challenge so much because I can get very into my workout “routine” and I end up just going to the same types of workouts because they are convenient and I know what I’m going to get. But with Athleta’s #UpForAnything challenge it got me out of my routine and out there pushing me out of my comfort zone in the best way. I spent most of last year super focused on my yoga practice, which was amazing, however, I can already tell this year I’ve been craving way more high intensity, weights, and just fun active workouts!

Athleta sent over two packages and Laura and I got to open them together to reveal our amazing Up For Anything Tights, All In Bras, and the Essence Tie Back Tank, and the cutest Swell water bottles!

Armed with our amazing new outfits, Laura and I decided to head to Crubox, a relatively new boxing studio in Los Angeles, that both of us had never been to and take a private 2-on-1 boxing session! Even though I’ve attended several cardio boxing style classes, I thought it would be such an amazing challenge to try someone on one action and really perfect my punches.

We got to work right away with an amazing heart blasting warm-up, jump rope, jumping jacks, and some shadow boxing to start us off right. We got our heart rates up and our blood flowing. And the best part, I didn’t have to pull up my pants or readjust my bra once, even with all the jumping! These #UpForAnything tights are insanely amazing.

Once we were warmed up it was time to get into the ring and get down to business. I’m not going to lie, I was a bit nervous about this part. I’ve never been super amazing at choreography and boxing is sort of like dancing, except with major contact when you throw those punches. I can often times get in my head over the types of punches I’m supposed to be throwing but it was great because our trainer broke down the moves and made sure I was comfortable with everything before we really started moving.

Once we started moving we didn’t slow down! And I picked up so many new moves and new techniques along the way! And again, I could completely focus on my workout the entire time, because my pants didn’t move ONCE. I’m seriously so obsessed with the fit, the colors, and the material these are made out of, Sculptek fabric. Sculptek Light fabric provides light compression for the perfect combination of movement and support, no matter the workout. And four strategically placed pockets keep your stuff close at hand but out of the way.

So now that you've seen me take on this amazing #UpForAnything challenge, it's your turn to try something new that you've never done before but have always wanted to! It's time to get out of your comfort zone and push yourself to be the best version of you! I would love to see your posts on IG so make sure to tag me @fittybritttty so I can cheer you on!
