Vital Proteins Review

Vital Proteins gangs all here! I was introduced to Vital Proteins a long time ago on Instagram. I followed them and followed many others who would rave about how amazing they were and finally about two months ago I took the plunge and wandered into Erewhon in Venice and came out with a large container of the Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides and have basically been singing their praises ever since.

Collagen is so amazing for our bodies. It’s the most abundant protein in the body and is a key constituent of all our connective tissues in our body. Collagen is a major player when it comes to the infrastructure of our musculoskeletal system, which is essential for mobility. Our bodies stop producing as much collagen as we age and that’s why adding into our diets is amazing to help keep our skin, hair, nails, and joints strong and glowing from the inside out! Collagen also can help with leaky gut and can help you sleep better and help with the appearance of cellulite! So many amazing benefits it’s pretty unreal, but wait, it’s so real!

Today, I’m so excited to share the four different Vital Proteins products I’ve been using every day for the last two months! Not only are my nails stronger than ever but I feel so much better! I haven’t had any stomach issues and I’ve felt more alert and I swear my hair is growing so much!

So read on and share with me below if you’ve tried Vital Proteins and which one is your favorite!

Collagen Peptides | Unflavored | Grass-Fed & Pasture-Raised

What is it: Collagen Peptides are a 100% natural anti-aging dietary supplement! Peptides are short-chain amino acids naturally derived from collagen protein. These natural peptides are highly bio-available, digestible and soluble in cold and hot water. The intake of collagen ensures the cohesion, elasticity, and regeneration of skin, hair, tendon, cartilage, bones, and joints!

Benefits: Promotes youthful skin, healthier hair, and stronger nails, helps keep bones healthy and strong, supports joint health, contributes to a balanced diet and helps maintain weight, and natural glycine promotes healthy immune, digestive, and central nervous systems.

Why I like it and How I use it: I love this original unflavored option because you can literally use it in everything and you can’t even tell it’s in there! I’ve used this before in baked goods, acai bowls, and I use it in my daily Creamy Collagen Coffee as well! If I had to choose one that I would buy over and over again, it would be this one because of its versatility.

Collagen Peptides | Vanilla & Coconut Water | Grass-Fed & Pasture-Raised

What is it: An elixir of collagen, hyaluronic acid (amazing for your skin!!) and a probiotics dietary supplement. Sourced from grass-fed, pastured-raised bovine hides from Brazil to ensure a natural, high quality, and sustainable source of this ancient nutrient (collagen). The Vital Proteins formula combines collagen with probiotics, Madagascar vanilla beans, natural hyaluronic acid and coconut water in a proprietary natural process without the need for additional sugars, sweeteners, or maltodextrin (no fillers here, thank god!).

Benefits: Promotes youthful skin, healthier hair, and stronger nails, contributes to deep sleep, increases athletic performance and achieves a lean body, helps keep bones healthy and strong, supports joint health, and promotes healthy immune, digestive, and central nervous systems.

Why I like it and How I use it: I love this flavored alternative to the original Collagen Peptides! I love to use this one in my smoothies and when I make acai bowls (recipe coming soon!)! It also would be amazing to bake with because the consistency is closer to an almond flour than the other options.

Collagen Beauty Greens | Coconut Vanilla | Marine Collagen & Greens

What is it: An elixir of marine collagen, raw greens, hyaluronic acid and a probiotics dietary supplement. This product is a nourishing natural elixir for glowing skin and beauty that starts from the inside out. Non-GMO marine collagen peptides are combined with healthy organic greens rich in vitamin A, hyaluronic acid, and probiotics to deliver beauty from within for healthy skin, hair, and nails.

Benefits: Visibly improves your natural beauty, promotes collagen formation, helps prevent the signs of aging, improves skin smoothness, increases skin moisture, revitalizes skin tone, reduces fine lines, strengthens hair and nails, and heels skin and reduces redness!

Why I like it and How I use it: Love the Beauty Greens because of all the benefits you get from the GREENS! This is great if you love green smoothies or if you run out of greens to add to your smoothie this will work wonders! I love the consistency in smoothies and love the flavor as well!

Collagen Whey | Cocoa & Coconut Water | Grass-fed & Pasture-Raised

What is it: The perfect natural protein blend to increase athletic performance, improve recovery, and achieve a lean body. The advanced protein utilization formula combines collagen with grass-fed whey protein, cocoa beans, probiotics, and natural hyaluronic acid to achieve a premium protein blend for improved athletic performance.

Benefits: Increases athletic performance, increases protein synthesis, improves hydration, increases joint flexibility, improves amino acid absorption, supports blood flow to muscles, improve recovery, and helps protein delivery to the body

Why I like it and How I use it: Okay no joke I’ve probably tried about 50 different whey protein powders and this by far is one of the best! The consistency is amazing and I love that there is hardly any sugar (only 4 grams) and the ingredients are by far the most natural and there is no fillers, additives, etc. I use this in my chocolate banana peanut butter smoothies, they taste like a healthy chocolate shake and I usually drink one after an intense weight lifting session or hour long cardio session so I make sure to refuel my body properly.

I hope you all found this post helpful! I know I’ve gotten a ton of questions about these products and I hope this post has answered some of them! Leave any other questions you have about these products below in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer them!

These products were sent to me by Vital Proteins but they did not sponsor or pay for me to write this post, these opinions are all completely my own and I truly love and believe in the amazing benefits of these products and will continue to purchase them with my own money!

  1. Thank you so much for this blog. I’ve been dying to know more about these products I just have one question how many times a day to you use them? If you could only buy 1 which would it be? Ok so that was two question. Thank you for your time!

    1. Hi Alison! So glad you enjoyed the blog post! Thank you for reading it! I use them at least once a day but most days I end up using a scoop in my coffee + a scoop or two in my smoothie post workout! If I could only buy 1 I would buy the unflavored collagen peptides because they are the MOST versatile of all of the ones I’ve tried and it’s unflavored which means you can use it in anything (coffee, smoothies, baking, etc) and not even taste it but get all the benefits!

  2. Do you see any benefit after a prolonged use??? I am wondering what makes THIS product so much better than any other like product out there. Any help would be appreciated.

    1. Hi Mike! The biggest benefit I see from prolonged use is in my hair and nails. My hair has never been longer and I just feel fueled throughout the day with the addition of these products in my daily life. The added protein is amazing since I don’t love eating traditional protein as much throughout my day. I will say there isn’t a huge difference between these products and the other collagen products from other brands I’ve tried. The biggest difference to me is that Vital Proteins has the best consistency to me but again that is preference. As far as benefits go, I think they all have the same benefits. I would just pick one that is organic, non-gmo, etc. Hope this helps!

  3. Hi Britney: I have looking at these products for a month at least. Do you know if one has more collagen than another or all have an equal amount? I have an autoimmune disease and collagen helps for digestive purposes. I was thinking of purchasing either the collagen peptides (veggie) or the beef peptides (read that one tastes weird tho). Thank you!

    1. Hi Rebecca, I believe they all have about 18-20 grams of collagen in each of them, some are one scoop and others you need two scoops to hit that number, but you can use it multiple times a day (I use a scoop in my coffee and then two scoops in smoothies). I’ve actually never had either of the ones you’re thinking about ordering but I would purchase the one you think you will use most! I hope that helps! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Come back and let me know what you ended up buying and how you liked it! x Britney

    1. Hi Julie! Yes, I believe 1 packet equals one scoop or 10 grams of collagen! You’re going to love it and you’ll love the health benefits as well! Enjoy!

    1. I’m not exactly sure on this… But I normally take a scoop in my coffee (which is about 10 grams of collagen) and then a scoop or two in my post workout smoothie! I think 2-3 scoops a day is probably a good amount!

  4. Do you know if it helps with hair loss? I have been having a significant change in hair loss and do not want to use the regular products out in the market.
